DPO365 is a service for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and persons responsible for data protection in organisations. In this release note, you can find information about the new features and updates to DPO365. These updates are released on the 2nd of October, 2025, if not mentioned otherwise.
I. AI Compliance Tools
We are introducing a new suite of AI Governance tools in DPO365, purpose-built to support your compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA).
As the AIA sets a new global standard for responsible AI, our tools provide the foundation your organisation needs to align with its requirements and stay ahead of evolving regulations.
With this release, you can:
-
Assess and document AI-related risks in line with AIA categories
-
Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of AI use cases
-
Plan, track, and report on your AI governance program through an annual governance roadmap
Whether you’re preparing for upcoming obligations or strengthening an existing framework, DPO365 gives you the structure and insight to operationalise compliance with confidence.

AI Annual Plan
Having a proficient AI Compliance Officer (AICO) in the organisation acts as a key safeguard for AIA compliance and efficient utilisation of AI within an organisation. AI Compliance Officer as a Service (AICOaaS) outsources the role of the AICO to Privaon. The outsourced AICO helps organisations comply with obligations of the AIA and with the responsible use of AI.

II. Risk classification in Record of Processing Activities.
Tracking the risk levels of processing activities can be challenging, especially for organisations managing a large number of them. Identifying high-risk activities is essential for maintaining an effective data protection program. With DPO365, we’re introducing the ability to classify processing activities directly within the Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), helping organisations prioritise and manage risks more efficiently.

III. Upgraded DPO365 text editor
DPO365 now supports adding pictures and tables to text boxes! We’ve upgraded the text editor used in areas like Task Cards, Home, and Documents, making it easier to create clear, engaging content. Use tables to organise and compare data, and images to illustrate processes or highlight key points – both help improve readability and communication.
Note: indentation is no longer supported in the new editor.
