Welcome to Privaon\u2019s \u201cImpact Assessments in the Age of AI: DPIAs and FRIAs in Practice<\/span>\u201d webinar on Thursday, November 12th 2026, at 10:30\u201311:00 (UTC+2).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Data Protection Impact Assessments, or DPIAs, are already an established way for many organisations to identify and manage high risks related to personal data processing. However, the use of AI introduces new questions. Organisations must consider, for example, the personal data entering AI systems, access to organisational information, inaccurate outputs and the effectiveness of human oversight.<\/p>\n

For certain high-risk AI systems, the EU AI Act also introduces the Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment, or FRIA. This broadens the assessment beyond privacy and data protection to other fundamental rights, including equality, human dignity, access to education, employment and essential services, and the availability of effective remedies.<\/p>\n

In this webinar, we will introduce the key elements of DPIAs and FRIAs, explain how the assessments differ and discuss how organisations can reuse relevant background information without unnecessarily documenting the same matters twice.<\/p>\n
